Original title: Onderwijs in alochtone levende talen.
At the request of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, an exploratory study was carried out of minority Language teaching for primary school pupils. This exploratory study in seven municipalities not only shows the way in which the various opportunities offered by the Minority Language Teaching Act are implemented in local practice, but also sets out the views and opinions of those who come into contact with the policy: policymakers, school boards and school managements, Minority Language teachers and representatives of migrant organisations. Based on this study, a follow-up study was begun in 2001 in all municipalities offering Minority Language Teaching.
