Original title: Armoedemonitor 2003.
The Poverty Monitor 2003 (Armoedemonitor 2003) contains the most up-to-date figures on poverty in the Netherlands. The data were collected and analysed by the Netherlands Institute for Social Research/SCP and Statistics Netherlands (CBS). The extent of and trends in poverty are mapped out on the basis of income level, duration of poverty, possessions and debts, people's own opinions about their financial situation, and fixed costs. Special attention is also devoted to ethnic minorities, the relationship between income and health and social exclusion.
