Original title: Kinderen in Nederland.
Young children in the Netherlands currently receive a good deal of attention in both the public debate and in government policy. Do children today play outside enough? Do they take enough exercise? And do they not spend far too much time watching television? Are children not the victims of the present double-earner society? How many young children today have emotional and behavioural problems? And how do parents feel about the upbringing of their children? This report looks at these and many other questions in relation to young children. It sets out the results of a large-scale survey of children aged up to 12 years, for which the data were collected via employees at youth health centres, via parents and from children themselves.
