Citizens in fear?

How afraid are citizens of crime, and has that fear increased or decreased in recent years? Which factors make people feel unsafe and how susceptible are they to influence? This publication looks extensively at these questions. As well as an overview of the scientific literature, new empirical findings are presented about fear in the residential setting, on public transport and in nightlife situations.
