Original title: Duaal als ideaal?
Pupils and students in vocational and higher education not only work
alongside their studies, but also increasingly spend time gaining work
experience during their courses.
This report provides an overview of a number of trends in the various
combinations of learning and working. It presents a picture of the interests,
opinions and behaviour of those most closely involved: pupils and students,
education establishments, companies and public authorities.
What is actually known about internships and the different forms of combining
work and study during education programmes? What do pupils and students think
of this? What do education establishments, employers and government wish to
achieve, and how do they translate their responsibility into practice? What
functions do the various combinations of work and study fulfil and to what
extent do they contribute to the quality of education?
