You are at: Home / Research and Data
Research is the basis of the Netherlands Institute for Social Research / SCP. Over the years the SCP has acquired a large amount of data. Sometimes data files are small, other times large with respect to the numbers of cases, numbers of variables or complexity (multi-level data).
Data files contain information on health, well-being, time budget, employment, social security, education, housing, media, expenditures, and so on.
Data objects range from individuals and families, to organizations and communities, to postcode regions and EU-countries.
Variables indicate opinions, describe behaviours or contain measurable quantities like expenditures, time budgets, possessions (persons) or personnel, funding, housing (organizations).
