ICT
ICT has a great influence on our daily lives. Among other things, it is changing the way we work, live, maintain social contacts and spend our leisure time.
Diverse studies
The studies carried out by SCP reflect the fact that ICT impinges
on virtually all areas of life: ICT and the labour market; ICT and social
inequality; Internet use and digital skills of young people and of the
elderly. SCP devotes special attention to ICT and culture, for example by
researching the interest in digital heritage via the Internet and in the
digitised arts. In addition, SCP compiles an inventory of digitisation
projects in the Netherlands in the fields of heritage, the arts and
broadcasting.
Research at SCP
The Time,
Media and Culture research group at SCP is concerned chiefly with the
influence of ICT on people's daily lives. You will also find information
here on current projects and recent publications. For more information, see
also the topics Books &
libraries, Cultural
