Maria Luce Sijpenhof is sinds 2020 werkzaam bij het SCP als kwalitatief methodoloog. Sinds 2021 is zij tevens methodoloog voor evaluatiestudies. Daarvoor werkte zij als onderzoeker en adviseur bij diverse private en publieke organisaties. Maria Luce studeerde Internationaal- en Europees recht, Staats- en Bestuursrecht en Sociologie aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. Zij volgde een internationaal promotietraject aan de Universiteit van Alcalá (Madrid) en verdedigde in 2020 haar proefschrift ‘Teachers, Textbooks and Black Identity: Color-blind Racism in Dutch Education (1968-2017)’. Maria Luce is lid van de organiserende werkgroep van het VIDE-Evaluatorennetwerk, lid van de kernredactie van Beleidsonderzoekonline en redactieraadlid van Paedagogica Historica.
